WHAT YOU'LL DO

As an important member of Halcom d.d. (part of Juniper Group), you will participate and focus on mapping and analyzing VMS companies across assigned markets and/or industry segments, in the CEE region. Your role will involve expanding our pipeline of qualified M&A leads and building a strong rapport with company leaders – which are expected to result in successful M&A processes. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Growing our prospect database in the CEE region by identifying vertical market software companies that meet our acquisition criteria in close cooperation with CEO
  • Demonstrating creativity, persistence, and credibility in reaching out to Owners, Operators, and C-Suite leadership
  • Initiating outbound prospecting calls, email, and social media communication to identify and connect with target companies
  • Gathering, analyzing, and presenting target company information to the M&A team and company executives
  • Conducting sales development best practices to connect with and qualify prospects
  • Assisting in the later stages of the M&A process as appropriate: e.g. supporting due diligence, contributing to the Investment Memorandum, and providing continuity of relationship among other tasks
  • Acting as a leader and mentor to junior BD & M&A team members

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Language: Fluent in English and another European language. A third European language is a plus
  • Experience: 3-5 years of proven track record in M&A, PE, or VC deal sourcing and/or corporate development in enterprise SaaS sales and/or sell-side or buy-side advisory.
  • Domain Knowledge: Background or domain experience in any of our core verticals. Experience in Financial Services/Insurance is preferred
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business/Economics, or a related field
  • Articulate: Engage in highly strategic, commercial discussions with industry executives as the representative of Juniper. Elegant and persuasive speaker and writer + quantitative reasoning
  • Curiosity: Intrinsically curious to talk to business owners and learn about their business and their stories
  • Relationship Builder: Gets energy from connecting with people and networking
  • Horsepower: Intrinsically motivated, highly analytical and data-driven thinker

  • Travel: Approximately 20-30% travel to meet with companies, network and attend tradeshows

Juniper Group, an operating arm of Constellation Software, is looking for an individual to join our international Business Development team. This position will be based in Slovenia and will be focused on identifying, establishing, and progressing strategic relationships with mature and growing software companies primarily in CEE. This individual will drive deal origination by utilizing a KPI-first sales process. Working alongside the local Business Unit Manager, Head of M&A, and Business Development Lead, the individual must be a self-motivated team player who is excited about uncovering, qualifying, and pitching investment opportunities. They must be comfortable engaging with business owners, management executives and intermediaries by leveraging their existing network, cold calls, social digital channels and in-person meetings.
