History

  • 2021

    Multibank solution Halcom MultiPay has been implemented in Delavska hranilnica in Slovenia.


    Halcom One application (qualified digital certificate in the cloud) has been launched on the Serbian market.


    Erste Bank in Serbia and OTP in Albania join the banks that offer Halcom solutions to their clients.


    NKBM bank clients in Slovenia start using Hal E-Bank electronic bank, digital e-bank and m-bank.


    Implementation of compliance with PSD2 in three Slovenian banks: NKBM, SKB banka and Banka Sparkasse.

  • 2020

    Halkbank in Serbia and NKBM in Slovenia join the banks that offer Halcom’s solutions to their clients.


    NLB banka Sarajevo adds web and mobile version of electronic banking to its set of banking solutions.


    The position of Chief Executive Officer of Halcom d.d. taken over by Tomi Šefman.


    New product Halcom One has been launched – a qualified digital certificate in the cloud.


    New multibank Halcom MultiPay solution has been implemented in two Slovenian banks (BKS Bank and SBER banka).

  • 2019

    Along with the redesign of its corporate identity, Halcom also launches a new web site.


    All Halcom’s solutions meet the highest security demands and EU regulations, e.g. eIDAS, GDPR, PSD2 and SEPA.


    Halcom d.o.o. Sarjevo becomes the first certified issuer of qualified digital certificates in BiH.


    By setting up SEPA-compliant clearing mechanisms at the Central Bank of BiH, Halcom is bringing BiH payment system closer to Europe.

  • 2018

    Amela Muftić becomes the new director of Halcom d.o.o. Sarajevo.


    The company Halcom d.o.o. Sarajevo receives the “Zvjezdica Pouzdanosti” award that goes to trustworthy and reliable companies at the occasion of the Pouzdanost Conference held in Bosnia and Herzegovina.


    Halcom’s digital banking solutions are in conformity with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).


    Our multi-banking solutions for business users in Serbia newly also incorporate the Instant Payments option.

  • 2017

    Halcom celebrates 25 successful years of its existence and 15 years of its continuing presence on the Serbian market.


    Halcom CA is certified based on the eIDAS Regulation and starts issuing new qualified certificates for electronic signature, electronic seals and electronic time stamping as well as website authentication certificates.


    Halcom launches the time-saving and cost-cutting solution entitled “Automation of banking operations for accounting firms”.

  • 2016

    The corporation Constellation Software Inc. takes over Halcom.


    Halcom continues organizing innovative events that join FinTech experts within the region. Here, we would like to note two such events, namely the international students’ workshop “Bytes of Banking” and the “2nd Adriatic FinTech Hackathon”, which attracted more than 100 participants from 13 countries of the EMEIA region to Ljubljana.

  • 2015

    Halcom becomes part of the ELITE programme of the London Stock Exchange Group.


    The American Chamber of Commerce in Slovenia, i.e. AmCham Slovenija, recognizes Halcom’s project “Money Talks 2014, Advanced Skills Workshop” as the best business practice in the contest “Best of the Best 2015”. In the summer, the workshop is resumed with the second act, this time entitled “Bytes of Banking” to the topic of banking via social media.


    At the end of the year, Halcom organizes the first financial and technological Hackathon in the Adriatic region, where software developers from home and abroad attempt to enhance the functionalities of the Hal mBills solution.

  • 2014

    Halcom’s digital banking solution is experiencing production also on the third continent, in Africa.


    Marko Valjavec becomes the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Halcom.


    A workshop entitled “Money Talks” takes place with the participation of 20 international students who develop prototypes of gamification in mobile banking.


    By organizing events to the topic of e-invoicing, one of which hosted over 430 participants, Halcom is actively engaged in the presentation of e-invoicing to the Slovenian public.

  • 2013

    Halcom continues to implement its intensive output schedule. Halcom presents the new generation of the digital banking solution intended for business users. It consists of an advanced platform that supports transactions, sales, services and communication through different distribution channels.

  • 2012

    Halcom signs a cooperation agreement with the leading European retail banking group, Crédit Agricole S.A., for the introduction of digital banking in all its subsidiaries. The first project was implemented in Morocco for the bank Crédit du Maroc.


    Halcom receives the full “Family-friendly Enterprise” certificate, which means that the concern which the company shows for its employees is on the highest possible level.


    Halcom is the National Champion 2012/2013 at the choice of the European Business Awards organization. In a tight competition of 15,000 thousand European companies, it is ranked among 100 most innovative enterprises that strive for business excellence, and earns the title of “National Champion 2012/2013” owing to its convincing international growth strategy.


    Following his decision to retire, Matjaž Čadež, founder, majority owner and President of the Board of Halcom, d.d., passed the reins of the family company after 20 years to Marko Šega, who has worked for Halcom since 1999 and has for the last six years been Executive Director, member of the Board of Directors.

  • 2011

    Halcom supplies a solution that enables Bankart, Slovenian company for the processing of payment instruments, to set up a uniform e-invoicing exchange system in cooperation with commercial banks.


    The founder of Halcom, Matjaž Čadež, receives the “Pursuit of the Prime Award” presented by Adizes Institute as leader that has shown unwavering persistence over longer periods of time to establish and maintain a corporate culture of mutual trust and respect in the spirit of Adizes methodology.


    HALCOM’S MOBILE BANK COMES TO LIFE!

    Raiffeisen Bank Kosovo becomes the first user of Halcom’s mobile bank.

  • 2010

    The second largest Slovenian mobile operator Simobil joins the issuers of e-invoices via the Halcom system for e-invoicing exchange. Those subscribers of Simobil that are at the same time the users of NLB e-banking, can now opt for the possibility to receive e-invoices directly into the online bank.


    All holders who already renewed their Qualified Digital Certificate on smartcards and USB keys (“ONE FOR ALL”), can now simply make an online order of their Qualified Digital Certificate on the new data carrier.


    Together with the Serbian telecommunication service provider Telenor and four commercial banks, Halcom introduces a new service on the market, called PlatiMo, which enables contemporary, reliable and simple payment from any mobile phone.

  • 2009

    NLB and Abanka started offering all their clients Halcom’s e-invoicing exchange service as part of their e-banking products.


    Safety is always our primary concern in the development of software solutions and services here at Halcom. In November, Halcom passes the first external audit under ISO 27001 standard with flying colours.


    The Ekvilib Institute and the Slovenian Ministry of Labour, Family and Social Affairs present Halcom with the basic “Family-friendly Enterprise” certificate. Having achieved that, Halcom guarantees to improve the reconciliation of work-life balance for its employees by adopting various measures in the future.


    Halcom enters the Iranian market through an introduction of the inter-back clearing for the Iran Central Bank.

  • 2008

    Halcom receives the daily paper Dnevnik’s Golden Thread Award for the best employer in the category of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).


    By introducing the SEPA clearing mechanisms at the Bank of Slovenia and Bankart Clearing House, which connects Slovenian and European banks, Halcom has positioned Slovenia as the country that has seen the fastest transition to the SEPA standard.


    Halcom extends its operations to the Middle East and started developing the Interbank Clearing System for the Central Bank of Iran; moreover, it signs the agreement for the introduction of the e-banking solution Hal E-Bank in the Qatar International Islamic Bank (QIIB).

  • 2007

    With the solution Hal M-Payments (1-2-3 Pay!), Halcom wins the contest for the Best Business Idea 2006/07 in the category of innovative entrepreneurial ideals among many other renowned companies.


    In cooperation with the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Halcom successfully sets up the central credit register of individuals.


    Hal E-Bank and Hal E-Clearing solutions transfer smoothly to the common European currency Euro.

  • 2006

    Halcom Informatika is renamed as Halcom. Following the change of the name, the company’s corporate identity is also redesigned.


    Halcom is transformed into a public limited company.


    In cooperation with the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Halcom successfully sets up the central credit register of legal entities.


    AS MANY AS 50 BANKS NOW USE HAL E-BANK.
  • 2005

    Halcom Svetovanje d.o.o. is founded.


    Halcom wins two new markets: Kosovo and Albania.


    Halcom becomes the strategic partner of Nova Ljubljanska banka.

  • 2004

    Halcom’s Hal E-Clearing/STEP2 system enables Slovenian banks to connect with the pan-European Clearing System via the Bank of Slovenia.


    Halcom sets up the central register of bank accounts for the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina.


    Both EBB centres, in Belgrade and in Sarajevo, also obtain the ISO 9001:2000 quality standard certificate issued by BVQI.


    Halcom’s Hal E-Bank solution becomes the first functional e-banking system in Montenegro.

  • 2003

    A bank in Germany starts using Halcom’s e-banking solution Hal E-Bank.


    Halcom Informatika receives the ‘Golden Gazelle Award 2003’ for the best amongst the fast-growing enterprises in the Republic of Slovenia.


    Halcom is certified for ISO 9001:2000 by Bureau Veritas Quality International (BVQI).

  • 2002

    HALCOM CA is entered in the Slovenian public register of certification service providers.


    The EBB Ljubljana (Electronic Banking Bureau) is set up.


    The EBB Beograd (Electronic Banking Bureau) is set up.

  • 2001

    Halcom’s first “software as a service” (SaaS) centre – EBB Sarajevo (Electronic Banking Bureau) – is set up.

  • 2000

    Halcom Informatika wins an international tender for the setting up of GIRO clearing system at the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Halcom Informatika manages to set up the communication infrastructure for the operation of the GIRO clearing system for all involved 43 banks in merely four and a half months after the signature of the agreement.

  • 1999

    The certificate authority HALCOM CA is established with the issuer of digital certificates for closed systems.

  • 1998

    In October, an Interbank GIRO Clearing System becomes operational at the Bank of Slovenia, intended for all Slovenian banks.

  • 1997

    In June, personal enterprises (s.p.) are the first clients to start using the e-banking solution Hal E-Bank designed by Halcom Informatika. This is the first e-banking solution in Slovenia, and one of the first worldwide that uses safe smartcard-based user authentication by applying Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).

  • 1996

    Halcom Informatika, together with its Danish partner Belle Systems a.d., sets up the first internet system for Telekom Slovenije – Siol.

Quality Management System Certificate ISO 9001

 

In 2003, we obtained the ISO 9001 Quality Management System Certificate from Bureau Veritas Quality International for technical and electronic support in the implementation of e-banking, e-payments and related services between financial institutions and their clients, including the capture and exchange of documents in electronic form. The certificate is renewed annually as part of external audits.

 

Information Safety Certificate ISO 27001

 

In January 2010, we received the ISO 27001 Information Security Certificate for technical and electronic support in the implementation of e-banking, e-payments and related services between financial institutions and their clients, including the capture and exchange of documents in electronic form. The certificate is renewed annually as part of external audits.

 

eIDAS Certified

 

In 2017, we got certified under Regulation (EU) No. 910/2014 “eIDAS” in the field of qualified trust services and the issue of qualified certificates for electronic signature, electronic seals and electronic time stamping as well as website authentication certificates.

 

For many years now, we have been assigned the A1++ credit rating.

 

The credit rating agency Bisnode d.o.o. annually certifies companies that have earned the highest credit rating assessment in the pursuit of their business operations. We are proud to have received the score of A1++ for many years in a row.
